Staying safe from ticks this summer

As tick activity increases across the Midwest this summer, Dr. Gautam Desai discussed where ticks are commonly found, how to properly remove them, symptoms to watch for after a bite and ways to reduce exposure. He also highlighted the growing prevalence of alpha-gal syndrome in the Kansas City region and emphasized the importance of checking yourself, your children and pets after spending time outdoors.
